Macmillan India is a major specialist typesetting company based in Bangalore, Southern India. In 1998, they required extra manpower during the setting up of an office in London to improve customer service. Connected Publications assignment was to manage the London unit on a temporary basis. This included training new and existing staff and the management of the deployment of new automated workflow and production systems. It also entailed work in Bangalore troubleshooting some aspects of the systems in that location.
Within just a few months, the London operation was operating successfully, attracting new business to the company and offering enhanced services to existing clients.
