A member of Connected Publications staff was assigned to the London Mathematical Society for three months in 2005 to assist their Publisher with the evaluation of future publishing arrangements for the Society's three flagship journals. This assignment primarily entailed an examination and analysis of the option to bring the publishing process in-house, taking direct control of the production and marketing processes. As a member of a "Scrutiny Group" comprising Society officers, staff and one other consultant, we also evaluated proposals received from academic publishers concerning the publication of these journals.

The work also entailed some more minor projects concerning the Society's in-house manuscript tracking system, and the automation of the forthcoming year's issue scheduling.

In 2006, Connected Publications again assisted the Society, this time working with in-house staff on their bespoke journal publishing database.
